February 22, 2013 Suspension of Classes

Sure that the Bagyong Crising that lambasted southern part of the Philippines had reduced to a no more than a wet monsoon, but the rains that reached Luzon had prompted local official to suspend classes, specifically Metro Manila area. Classes are suspended today, February 22, 2013 as announced by Manila mayor Alfredo Lim through his official twitter account @TheMayorLIM.
On the same note, Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista also suspended afternoon classes in pre-school to high schools in both private and public schools.

List of LGUs which already suspended classes:

Taytay, Rizal – elementary level, private and public schools
Paranaque City – pre-school to high school, public schools.  Update: now including public colleges
Quezon City – pre-school to college, private and public schools
Manila – pre-school to high school (both private and public) and public colleges
Pasay City - pre-school to high school, private and public
List of Colleges and Universities which also suspended afternoon classes:

Lyceum of the Philippines – All Levels
St. Scholastica’s College Manila – All Levels
Miriam College – Pre-school and grade school classes
Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila
Philippine Women University (PWU) – All levels
University of Sto. Tomas – All levels
Adamson University – All Levels, including works and offices
Polytechnic University of the Philippines (Sta. Mesa)
San Beda College
Arellano University
Saint Paul University (Manila)
