Binay Reacts On P-Noy's Resignation Calls

As much as we are aware on how the administration's manpower tries to pin him on multiple cases, Vice President Jejomar Binay rejects the calls for the resignation of the Philippine President Benigno P-Noy Aquino III.

The call for resignation was due to the case of the failed SAF operation in Mamasapano, Maguindanao.

"I don’t want that. You know, I am the Vice President. You all know that I will run (for president in 2016)," - the vice president said on an interview in Cebu last Thursday.
"Let us just wait. I am hoping and praying that the President will overcome this problem very soon,” - Binay continued.

"I am praying hard so that the President can fully respond to the issues," - the Philippines' VP added further.

Meanwhile, Binay said that he has yet to decide who will be his running mate in 2016 national poll.

"We are still considering all possibilities," - the VP responded when asked by one of the reporters.

Some of the names that surfaces as his possible running mates are Senator Panfilo Lacson, Senator Grace Poe, Senator Francis Escudero,Interior Secretary Manuel Roxas II, Pag-IBIG president and chief executive officer Darlene Marie Berberabe, and business tycoon Manny V. Pangilinan.

“Anything is possible in politics,” - the VP added.

Binay however drew the line after he was asked if it is possible for him to run as the candidate for the administration.

“I am the presidential candidate of the opposition,” - he clarified.
