The comment was picked-up by the press during the press conference for his upcoming concert on May 17 at Smart-Araneta Coliseum - "I-Vice Ganda Mo Ako Sa Araneta".
The comedian-host which is popularly known for her pambabara had just spoke his heart out during the interview. When asked is he had plans running for any position in politics, Vice Ganda answered "Gusto ko president ako agad. Yung wala kang background, pero mataas agad, parang ‘yung mga pulitiko lang ngayon. Walang background, pero senador agad."
When reporters asked if he was referring to anyone in particular, the 37-year-old comedian said "Sige na, si Binay, sino pa ba?",
Vice Ganda quickly added - "Wala akong sinabing masama ah, sinabi ko lang siya as an example, kasi totoo naman, 'di ba? Wala siyang political background, pero senador agad. It's a fact, 'di ba?"
"Ayoko naman 'yung... ang dami kayang walang alam, tapos kumakandidato, pasok sa top 6 sa survey," - the comedian added further, drawing laughter from reporters at the press conference.
Maria Lourdes Nancy Binay is the eldest daughter of now Vice-President Jejomar Binay and is now a senatorial candidate in which unfortunately (referring to Vice Ganda's comment) was spotted on the top 6 position on both in SWS and Pulse Asia surveys.
Meanwhile, an infographic was released online showing that Nancy Binay was absent on all eleven debates and forums for the upcoming May 2013 election.
