Ryan Bang Faces Tax Evasion Case

The Korean actor-TV host Ryan Bang faces a tax evasion case on the country after the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) filed the complaint against him.

According to reports, the showtime host failed to declare his income and percentage tax from the year 2010 - 2011. Reports said that he had a total of three million pesos (P3M) earnings from that two years and he owe the BIR some one point eight million pesos (P1.8M).

Here's the breakdown of Ryan Bang's income per year:
2010 : 993,451.59 pesos
2011 : 2.06 million pesos

Tax Due : 1.82 million pesos (includes surcharge and interest)

Ryan Bang's legal counsel Joji Alonzo, said that they are still waiting to receive the formal complaint from the Department of Justice (DOJ).

“We have yet to receive summons from the DOJ on the alleged tax evasion charges. Ryan Bang intends to comply with all obligations due the government, if any. He will never knowingly and deliberately violate any law in this country.” - the lawyer said on an interview.

We hope that Ryan could settle this matter as soon as possible, and may this be a lesson for all of us.
