McDonald's Minions Happy Meal - Philippines

There's a new craze in town! It appears that the Minions - McDonald's happy meal in the Philippines is getting out of stock four days since the initial release.

Netizens had been complaining on different forums and web portals that many McDonalds outlets had gone out of stock of this little adorable Minions.

They're really not into the foods but they're ordering more than they can eat because of the toys packaged with the happy meal.

"I felt left-out when my friends ordered bunches of McDonald’s Happy Meal and I just thought, what’s the sudden craving for the chicken nuggets and burgers? Little did I know that they were not into the food, but were after buying the totally cute little Minions from Despicable 2 movie." - said blogger Mhel from marikenya.com.

Mommy Kat of mommykat.info said that it took her four McDonalds outlets to complete the minions set for her little daughter.

"We got 4 during our first trip to McDonald’s Las Pinas (Tim Giggling, Tim Giggle Grabber, Stuart Babbler Grabber and Stuart Light Up Grabber), then 3 from McDonald’s Macapagal Ave. (Evil Minion Noisemaker, Evil Minion Chomper and Jerry Breakdancing). The last 2 (Dave Gadget Grabber and Tom Googly Eyes Grabber) were not available in any of the stores along our way home so I thought it would take me some time to complete the set. Fortunately, the Macapagal Ave. branch restocked on all the minions so finally, all 9 Minions are together!"

The McDonalds happy meal packed with Minions characters of the hit "Despicable Me" movie series is available on many countries, here in the Philippines we have nine different characters to collect, here they are:

In order to collect this nine minions (two evil minions and seven regulat minions), collectors would need to spend at least 756 pesos. That is considering that you would buy the cheapest available happy meal on McDonalds, and that is the Burger McDo Happy Meal with orange juice priced at 84 pesos. Though reports said that some stores offers breakfast happy meal, Hamdesal with orange juice, for 77 pesos only.

Despicable Me 2 on the Philippines will start screening on July 3, 2013.
