Update for Bagyong Goring
The previous typhoon had left significant damage to the entire country, flooding many areas, cancelling school days and even claimed lives (10 confirmed death as we know it). This new typhoon, typhoon Goring or bagyong Goring, may give us the same intensity, that is why we will be providing updates to give us warning and proper preparations.We will be updating this post as soon as the bagyong Goring or typhoon Goring became an official typhoon.

At 2:00 p.m. today, July 9, 2011, according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Administration or PAGASA, Tropical Depression "GORING" was estimated based on satellite images and surface data at 425 kilometers North Northeast of Basco, Batanes (24.2°N, 124.1°E). Meanwhile, a Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 320 kilometers East of Hinatuan, Surigao Del Sur (8.0°N, 129.5°E). Southwest monsoon affecting Luzon section.

At 2:00 am today, July 10, 2011, according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Administration or PAGASA, tropical Depression GORING was estimated based on satellite images and surface data at 400 kilometers North Northeast of Basco, Batanes (24.5°N, 122.9°E) with maximum winds of 55 kilometers per hour near the center. It is forecast to move West at 07 kilometers per hour. Meanwhile, a low pressure area was estimated at 210 kilometers East Northeast of Hinatuan, Surigao Del Sur ( 09.0°N, 128.1°E). Southwest monsoon affecting the entire Luzon section.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Administration or PAGASA said that the Southwest Monsoon will continue to bring scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms in Luzon and Visayas sections however, widespread rains could occur over Western Luzon which may trigger unexpected flashfloods and landslides.

At 2:00 p.m. today, according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Administration or PAGASA, a Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on satellite images and surface data at 1,180 kilometers East of Luzon (17.0°N, 135.0°E). Southwest Monsoon affecting Luzon and Visayas sections.
As of today, no Public Storm Signal warning was raised.
