DepEd Suspended Classes Due To Rain, December 9, 2011
This is a breaking news which just released earlier today.
The Department of Education, Philippines, has suspended the afternoon classes from primary to secondary level - elementary to highschool in Metro Manila over heavy rain pours - December 9, 2011.
The Department of Education after consulting the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration or PAGASA had decided to suspend the classes from pre-school, elementary and secondary level for all public and private schools effective 12 noon today, Friday.
PAGASA on the other hand said on their altest weather bulletin update that a Low Pressure Area LPA was spotted to be located based on satellite images and surface data on about 330 kilomters wes of Puerto Princesa City.
Though there are no tropical cyclone exists inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), PAGASA advised the public on sudden heavy rain throughout the coutnry especially on the eastern part of the Philippines.
The DepEd on the other hand had given the full discretion to the local authorities for the suspension of classes on their respective jurisdictions.
