We all know that the former Philippine president and now Pampanga's representative Gloria Macapagal Arroyo had accepted her transfer to the Veterans Memorial Medical Center or VMMC.The former president had chose to travel by land and not by earlier report that Arroyo's camp will prefer helicopter as it is regarded as a more discreet way of getting her [Gloria Arroyo] to Veterans Memorial Medical Center. According to Arroyo's camp, the bad weather and Gloria Arroyo's fear to a chopper due to previous experiences made them chose land travel.
According to Arroyo's spokesperson, Elena Bautista-Horn, said that they are wondering why the transfer was delayed since the former president had been awaked since six in the morning. Horn said that they had been all prepared to comply to the order of Pasay Regional Trial Court to bring Mrs. Arroyo to a government hospital.
With the police eyeing on the transfer to be happen today, especially when MalacaƱang had said that there will be no delay for Gloria Arroyo to be transfer to Veterans Memorial Medical Center VMMC.
Amidst bad weather the transfer went earlier today.
According to confirmed reports, Gloria Macapacal Arroyo had left St. Lukes hospital earlier at 3:30 p.m. via land travel. The former president was board by an ambulance with a wang-wang signal on it.
The former president is currently on her newly renovated building as of this writing.
It can be recalled that the former president, Gloria Arroyo, is under hospital arrest as their request on house arrest has been denied.
Judge Jesus Mupas of Pasay City Regional Trian Court Branch 11 had ordered the transfer of congresswoman Gloria Arroyo to a government hospital as part of his hospital arrest due to her pending electoral sabotage charges filed against her by the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
