Charice Pempengco Arrived In Manila On A Wheelchair

International singing sensation Charice Pempengco surprised the Philippine media after she arrived on a wheelchair in Manila earlier today, January 10, 2012, Tuesday.

Charice Pempengco said on an interview by abs-cbnnews that she hurt her little toe while skateboarding in Los Angeles last Christmas.

"Actually nangyari po siya ng Pasko dahil ako ay malikot. Nagi-skateboard ako at nahulog ako dahil iniwasan ko ang isang sasakyan na nandoon lang. Nagulat kasi ako. Iiwasan ko sana kaya lang nag-panic ako kaya nadulas ang skate board at nag-crack ang isang buto sa hinliliit," -Charice Pempengco said on an interview.

According to her, she will need to stay in crutches or on a wheelchair for six long weeks. The local media said that they are surprised seeing Charice with her right foot on a bandage on her arrival at Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

Charice Pempengco came home to celebrate the birthday of her mother, Raquel Pempengco who turned 40 today, January 10, 2012.

Raquel Pempengco said that Charice is scheduled to reunite with her "Little Big Star" co-fnalists on a resort at January 14, 2012.

This news however created a buzz from Filipino nitizens when one commenter named tonyP said "Hinliliit lang, kailangan pa ang wheelchair?????? This is the height of OVER-ACTING. It means she is trying to call attention to herself. Kung iyong buong talampakan, puede na ang crutches o tungkod, sa hinliliit, puede na ang tsinelas.
Kung parehong paa, OK ang wheelchair."

But of course, you don't want an awkward walking scene when you have an injured finger on foot right?
