I think this station is also a kind of a franchise business as I saw on one of the newly installed outlets the phrase "Authorized Lotto Outlet".
Anyway, bettors needs to choose six numbers out of the fifty five options (1-55). That would mean that the odds of guessing the six digit combination correctly is 1 in 28,989,675.
Isn't that a very stiff chance of winning? Of course yes, but most Filipinos like to take all the chances, even how small it is. Anyway, if you really is betting on the lottery, this is the best time to place your lucky numbers.
With this jackpot prize, event he non usual bettors are now betting on the lottery because they are lured on how big the jackpot prize is. Yeah, that includes our family, my father specifically.
On the side note, the PCSO chairman, Margie Juico had said on an interview that he is propossing that if a jackpot prize reached half a billion pesos, then it should be freeze. Meaning that the jackpot prize on any lottery must have a ceiling of half a billion pesos.
According to the chairman, he just want to avoid rich people to join into the game. Because if the jackpot prize reach more than this amount, the professional gamblers will place their bets too, and they will have more chances of winning because hey have more money to place more bets.
But as a common Filipino, I was just thinking that if the jackpot prize reached half a billion pesos and freezes. Where would he newly bet money will go if it wouldn't be add up on the jackpot prize? Now this will smell something fishy, right?
