Charice Pempengco will sing the Philippine national anthem on May 8
International singing sensation, Charice Pempengco has been confirmed to sing our country's national anthem on the scheduled fight between Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley at the MGM Grand Arena in las Vegas, Nevada on May 8 of this year.According to Manny Pacquiao's advisor, Michael Koncz, it was personally Manny who handpicked Charice Pempengco to sing the national anthem before his fight. Charice Pempengco is really Manny's choice, it's really Manny that chooses, just like his other fights.
The talked was reportedly closed on Los Angeles when they talked to Charice Pempengco personally. Koncz said that Charice is also excited to sing before millios of boxing enthusiasts from around the world who are expectedly in tune to watch the fight.
It can be recalled that during the Pacquiao - Hatton fight last 2009, Charice shows his interest in singing the national anthem on Pacquiao's match.
