Is November 2, 2010 A Holiday? Special Holiday?

Are You Wondering if Novermber 2, 2010 Is A Holiday Or Not?

is november 2, 2010 a holiday

November 2, 2010 is suppose to be special non-working holiday right?

For those who had a status 'Regular' on their company wants the second day of November to be holiday, yeah, that includes me. It is suppose to be a holiday right? Like on Gloria's regime.

But not so fast dudes.

Executive Secretary Paquito 'Jojo' Ochoa said on Tuesday that Philippines president Benigno Noynoy Pnoy Aquino III didn't sign nor ordered anything about making November 2, 2010 to be any kind of holiday.

special non working holiday
"He didn’t sign any proclamation, so go to work November 2" Ochoa said.

Though the special holiday proclamation wouldn't be that possible since the president had already left on Tuesday for a state Visit and the 17th ASEAN Summit meeting in Vietnam.

If it would going to be a holiday, it will be like another long gloria-like weekend again. But not this time, since we have Sunday and Monday to do "Fiestang Patay".

I think that the president sees that two days is enough, and we all need to work after these rest days to stimulate the Philippine economy and to get closer to the prosperity we are all complaining for the president to do.

If you'll ask me, it's fine to go to work on November the second. How 'bout you?

Masasabi q lng insensitive president xa. Bakit nasabi mong ang rason kung bakit di nya dineklarang holiday ang nov 2 ay dahil inaalala nya ang ekonomiya natin di ba nya naiintindihan ang proclaimation no. 1841 ni former President GMA about Philippine economic holidays? One way na naboboast yung local tourism natin so nastistimulate din economy natin.

  3. hi po, first of all, thanks po sa comment.
this is a very subjective post, it's what I think.
But I think that you also have a point there, that makes two valid points isn't it?

    I guess it's a two valid side.
By the way, ME TOO WANTS A NON WORKING DAY.

  4. November 1 is All Souls Day, Araw ng mga Patay ... November 2 is All Saints Day and I believe that we consider our death relatives saints because we pray for them to intercede us in our prayers ... hindi ba mas maganda kung nasa sementeryo tayo ng November 2 ????
