Manny Pacquiao's wife, Jinkee Pacquiao was featured as the MEGA magazine's cover for their January 2012 issue.
However, the final outcome of Jinkee Pacquiao's photo on MEGA magazine January 2012 issue was accused to underwent a heavy photoshop editing. Others even said that it is far from the real Jinkee Pacquiao as it appears to be just some kind of cartoonize character or a 3D image of the real Jinkee.
The photoshop-editing controversy of Jinkee Pacquiao had hit the trending topic online and was talk by Filipino nitizens throughout the Philippines.
Jinkee Pacquiao on the other hand had denied that her photo appeared on the January 2012 issue of MEGA magazine cover was brealy her. She even asked the critics to see her in person for them to see the difference.
"Payat siguro, oo. Payat ako tignan doon. Tsaka 'yung mga staff din, magaling sila," Jinkee Pacquiao said on an interview, "So sila na lang magsasabi... parang tignan na lang nila ako in person."
"Basta hindi ko na kailangan mag-explain pa. Basta 'yun na 'yung resulta ng aming pictorial. Maganda naman siya at happy naman ako nung nakita ko," Jinkee further added.
Jinkee Pacquiao’s MEGA cover was photographed by Seven Barretto. Jinkee's makeup was done by Krist Bansuelo and she was styled by Angela S. Alarcon and Miel Villamor. Mrs Pacquiao wore a creation of top Pinoy couturier Noel Crisostomo.
In the MEGA January 2012 issue, Jinkee was featured and talks about what it’s like to be married to one of history’s greatest fighters, and the price she’s had to pay for fame and fortune she's experiencing.
Going back to the topic, the MEGA magazine had admitted that Jinkee Pacquiao's photo was indeed underwent on a phot editing software which is a standard operating procedure of the company. "[It] went through the standard cleanup process that all MEGA magazine covers go through." said one of MEGA's staffs.
THe said staff further added that the magazine cover "is a collaboration of an excellent fashion editor, photographer, makeup artist and hair stylist."
