Manny Pacquiao Anti-Gay Comment

Leviticus - Bible Used As Basis ?

Did really Manny Pacquiao made a comment against gays? And did he really used a verse from Leviticus (Christian Bible) as his reference.

The issue is same sex marriage.

Just as U.S. President Barack Obama openly told the public that he has nothing against the same sex marriage, our own boxer Manny Pacquiao also made his own.

The thing is, he said that he is against the idea.

The gay community, being sensitive as they are, found themselves offended over Pacquiao's comment.

The Filipino boxer and Sarangani representative had even got barred from an American entertainment show "Extra" at the Grove in Los Angeles. The boxer was scheduled for an interview with host Mario Lopez on the show's segment "The Grove", but because of the anti-gay comment of Pacquiao, they had cancelled the interview and later said in a statement that Manny was "not welcome at The Grove and will not be interviewed here now or in the future."

Their official twitter account reads "Boxer Manny Pacquiao is not welcome @TheGroveLA. @TheGroveLA is a gathering place for all Angelenos, not a place for intolerance."

The interviewer from "The Examiners", Granville Ampong, later clarified that Pacquiao did not quoted the verse, and it was him who used it.

What's with the Leviticus ?

Pacquiao seemingly quoted this bible verse from Leviticus 20:13 which reads - "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own hands."

The gay and lesbian community worldwide is known for their sensitivity, do you think Manny Pacquiao can win their hearts back?
