Here's the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration or PAGASA weather bulletin update for May 12, 2012.
At 2:00 p.m. today, May 12, 2012, PAGASA spotted the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on satellite images and surface data at 500 kilometers West of Calapan, Oriental Mindoro (14.0°N, 116.0°E) embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Palawan and Mindanao. Diffused tail-end of a cold front affecting Southern Luzon.
No tropical cyclone was spotted inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR)
