Tropical Storm Pedring Update
Tropical Storm Pedring was spotted to have entered the Philippines Area of Responsibility (PAR) last Saturday but still too far to directly affect any part of the country, according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA). As of this writing, 09/25/11 - Sunday, no storm signal was raised by the weather bureau.
Tropical storm Pedring's center was located somewhere at 1.030 kilometers east northeast of Virac, Catanduanes as of four in the afternoon today. Bagyong Pedring moves west northwest at nineteen kilometers per hour. Maximum winds as recorded is about sixty five kilometes per hour near the center and gustiness of up to eighty kilometers per hour.
Though the tropical storm will not have direct effect on the country, it is expected to experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms throughout the country. Luzon will have a more active rain showers, while Visayas will have a moderate bad weather, while Mindanao section will have a lot better skies.
Tropical storm Pedring may soon become a full typhoon if its strength continue to pick up. As for now, tropical storm Pedring is expected to make landfall on Wednesday if it keeps up its direction and speed according to PAGASA weather forecast.
PAGASA authorities advised the public to start preparing their sweaters and jackets as the following days of the week will surely be chilly and winds is expected to be cold and strong. Pedring would adds to the cold days aside from the fact that nights are now longer because of the coming northeast monsoon.
