Typhoon Saola Updaet August 2012 Update
Tropical Storm Saola, local name Gener, is now heading northwest, towards Taiwan and China.
As of 4pm today, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), weather bureau of the Philippines announced on their weather bulletin that tropical storm Saola is currently located 260 kilometers East Northeast of Basco, Batanes, one of the northest islands of the Philippines, coordinates : (21.4°N, 124.5°E).
It is forecast to move North at 7 kilometers per hour.
The said typhoon reached up to public storm warning signal number three which has 101-185 kilometers per hour wind strength.
