August 26, 2012 Typhoon Julian Update
At 4:00 am today, according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the center of Typhoon "JULIAN" was located at 850 kilometers Northeast of Basco, Batanes (25.1°:N, 129.8°E) with maximum sustained winds of 175 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 210 kilometers per hour. It is forecast to move Northwest at 15 kph. Southwest monsoon affecting Luzon and Western Visayas.
Typhoon "JULIAN" is now out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) heading towards the Southern islands of Japan.
