The Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines 2012 - TOSP 2012 awadees had been announced at the Heroes Hall on MalacaƱang earlier today - Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 12 noon.

The search for the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines 2012 is an awards and formation program that that seeks to galvanize the youth into nation building through exemplary academic performance, into change-making social involvement, and inspiring leadership services to their school, to the local communities, and also to the country.

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) released the National Memorandum to ask Colleges and Universities to participate on the search.

About 243 entries were submitted for the regional screening while 87 reached the national screening. The 87 finalists reduced to 30 national finalists, which was composed of notable men and women from several fields including the academe, business, health, and IT.

Below are the ten awardees for the TOSP 2012 in no particular order:

Philippine President Benigno Aquino III congratulated the TOSP 2012 awardees and urged them to “remain committed to initiating and inspiring endeavors for the country’s progress.”
