Iggy Arroyo's long time partner, Grace Ibuna, was only allowed to stay on the VIP gallery where she sat together with her mother Linda Ibuna while Aleli Arroyo had her seat along with Iggy's family members including First Gentleman Jose Miguel Arroyo, Ang Galing party-list Representative Juan Miguel Arroyo, and Camarines Sur Representative Diosdado Arroyo.
Reports said that the two never spoke each other during Iggy Arroyo's mass and necrological service held at the House plenary hall.
Grace Ibuna told to an interview that she would accompany the whole Arroyo family when they bring Iggy Arroyo's remain to Bacolod after the necrological rites.
Negros Occidental died due to a liver ailment last January 26, 2012 while he and his long time partner Grace Ibuna are in London. His interment was scheduled on Friday, March 9, 2012, at the Manila North Cemetery.
Meanwhile, Pasay City Regional Trial Court had ruled on to allow the former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to attend the funeral mass of her brother-in-law this coming Friday. Mrs. Arroyo is still held on a hospital arrest due to the ongoing electoral sabotage charges against her.
