Arnold Clavio Said Some Azkals Are Not Filipino

Someone just rubbed a salt over an open wounds.

GMA7 network news anchor, Arnold Clavio, had made a hot comment to the official Philippine football team, the Philippine Azkals.

On the morning show Unang Hirit yesterday, Arnold Clavio had just made a harsh comment against the Azkals. The comment was out the sexual harassment issue that was filed by Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) President and now Azkals Match Commissioner Cristy Ramos against the Azkals. Cristy Ramos is the daughter of former Philippine president - Fidel V. Ramos.

Here's the salt that Arnold Clavio rubbed against the Azkals.

"Dapat maging aral na sa inyo 'yan. Ang yayabang niyo. Porket dinadagsa kayo ng mga [fans] ang guguwapo niyo, ‘di ba?. Parang God's gift to women. Ang kuwento nga ni [Cristy] at mga kasama niya, lahat ginawang paraan para ipaalam na may babaeng papasok sa locker. Ilang katok nga sila, eh malapit na ang match at kailangang ma-check na ang dalawang koponan, dahil nauna ang Philippine team bago ang Malaysian team. Ngayon nag-sorry para daw sa isa nilang kasamahan. Saan ka nakakitang Azkal na may suso. Anong ‘Cup D, maybe a Cup B’ sa isang kasama? Palusot na lang ‘yon. Sana kung nag-sorry, sorry na lang talaga," -the news anchor said.

"Hindi ko kayo ka kultura kasi wala dito (sa puso), wala dito (sa pag-iisip) eh hindi naman kayo Filipino, nagpapanggap lang kayong kayumanggi, hindi dito lumaki. Mahirap 'yon, insensitive. Pero malaking aral din. Congratulations kasi hiwalay naman ito sa kanilang ginagawang pakikipaglaban. So, good luck sa inyong susunod na laban para makarating kayo sa Final 4 na bihirang narating ng Pilipinas sa matagal na panahon, ngayon lang," -Clavio said.

On the other hand, Angel Locsin, the rumored girlfriend of one Azkals' member had condemned Arnold's statement and said that it was offensive and foul.

"I think Arnold Clavio's a good person. But this time, sobrang foul lang. That's his opinion. This is mine. Madali lang sumira ng reputasyon, mahirap ibalik. Konting sensitivity lang sana," - Angel Locsin said on her official twitter account.



Angel Locsin eloborated that the nationality of the Azkals members is not an issue for the sexual harrassment case, and that other members of the Azkals team are being dragged for the fault of some.

"Hindi naman po isang tao lang ang Azkals. At hindi naman po 'yung issue 'yung pagiging Pinoy nila. Unfair po 'yun," - Angel further tweeted.

"Wala po tayong karapatang manghusga agad at manapak ng tao. Kung ayaw rin po nating mangyari satin." - Angel.
