When former Philippines President Fidel V. Ramos made a comment on Azkals regarding the sexual harassment controversy involving her own daughter, he said that Azkals should learn to respect sport officials and they "should start winning games."
Sure enough, the Philippine football team had took Ramos' advice.
Philippine Azkals had won against Tajikistan on their football match at the Halchowk Stadium in Kathmandu, Nepal. Before this win, the official Philippine football team had just came from a win on their match against India.
With this wins, the Philippine Azkals has been officially qualified to the 2012 AFC Challenge Cup semi finals.
The Azkals was scheduled to face with group A on Friday, March 16, 2012 on a winner-take-all clash. The winner for this match will secure its seat on the 2012 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup finals.
