Richard Yap First Album On Works!

Commercial model turned actor Richard Yap popularly known as Sir Chief is about to record his own solo album under Star Records.

It looks like the actor who rose to fame from the "Be Careful With My Heart" television series has been trying to harvest as much as he could from his popularity. Anyways, doing an album looks like one of his forte after he showed his singing skill when he serenade Maya on one of the show's episode.

The said harana moment of Sir Chief to Maya had trended online and (maybe) made this album possible after audiences commented "In fairness, pwede ha!" - referring to Yap's voice quality.

Yap said that he will be doing ten songs which may contain covers, original songs which includes a Chinese song - Richard Yap is a Chinse-Filipino business man before he enter showbiz.

"We'll be doing about eight to 10 songs in this album, combination of Tagalog, English and maybe one Chinese song. I'm very excited because this is going to be a solo album. Hopefully matanggap ng mga tao yung ambisyon natin to be a singer," - Yap said on an interview.

When asked what genre would his upcoming album be "More on ballad siguro. I like ballad and acoustic." - he answered.

The said album is a done deal after he signed the contract last Thursday with abs-cbn's recording company.
