Last night, 2ne1 had a concert here in the Philippines. The girl group was welcomed by Filipinos mostly on the girl groups age bracket. Entitled "The Party", the concert held at the Araneta Coliseum brought by Pop Live Production, the same company who bought SS3 concert here.

What makes the Korean girl group's instant popularity among Filipino youngsters is because of Sandara Park, or Dara - her name on the group.

It can be recalled that Sandara Park became popular on our country, Philippines when she joined abs-cbn's "Star Circle Quest" on 2004 where she got second. She then became an actress and a recording talent of abs-cbn for three years. She then came home on 2007 to her homeland in Busan, South Korea where YG Entertainment took her as a part of the newly formed all girl group. 2ne1 then made their debut on 2009 on their local entertainment industry.
