Zsa Zsa Padilla Diagnosed With Stage One Kidney Cancer

Zsa Zsa Padilla, the singer - actress had gathered with friends and family as the 40'th day of the passing of the late comedy king was observed last Saturday. She however had another bad news to break for us.

A confirmed news has shocked the entire showbiz world as well as the whole country.

The 48 years old Zsa Zsa Padilla was diagnosed with stage 1 kidney cancer.

According to her doctor at the Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, California, USA, the cancer had grown of the size of a golf ball inside one of her kidney.

“The first time I saw Dr. Folkes, he immediately told me it was malignant. So when I heard that word 'malignant,' I said, 'Oh man, I have cancer.’ I went back the next day for blood work and a scan and it showed the same thing -- almost a 3 centimeters growth -- and he advised for it to be taken out," Padilla said on an interview.

With the recent death of her long time partner and the news of her illness, Zsa Zsa said that she remains and wants people around her to stay positive.

She also said that the recovery is big as the cancer is still on the early stage.

“This is the first stage. Once it's removed, I'll be cancer-free. I'm going to take care of myself and eat well," - the spirited Padilla said.

When would the operation be?

According to her, she was scheduled to undergo to a surgery on August 27, 2012 at Cedars Sinai and if everything goes well, she can go home from the hospital after two days and can return to work after a mere month.

Padilla said that if she became a cancer survivor, she hopes to raised cancer awareness drives.
