In an attempt to raised a one billion message for the World Humanitarian Day yesterday, August 19, 2012, SUnday - the pop singer Beyonce recorded the music video entitled "I Was Here".

"I Was Here" was recorded by Beyonce for the United Nations - World Humanitarian Day 2012.

The one billion messages of hope aims to encourage people to do good deeds and was made stronger through social media and of course with an international talent like Beyonce.

United Nation launched the campaign last August 2, 2012 to collect messages worldwide in honor of the humanitarian workers.

The campaign however gains its numbers after the released of Beyonce's video last Saturday as her fans helped out to spread the message.

Beyonce was praised for her "amazing work" by UN under secretary general for humanitarian affairs - Valerie Amos.

The video shows the singer on a white, floor-length light gown, the singer sang the song at the UN General Assembly. Some of the scene on the video were UN headquarters and various scenes from recent disasters.
