Azkals Scored Another Win On Middle East
MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine football team, Azkals had took their pride back after winning against Qatari side Al Ahli in their second friendly match. Azkals earned three points while AL Ahli got only one point.
The win was asid to be because of a strong performance from striker Phil Younghusband and a much improved team's defensive effort.
Azkals win sets the mood back after their loss from Uzbekistan with 3-0 score under-23 team.
The Azkals scored first after Younghusband bounced the ball inside the net in the ninth minute, making the score a 1-0 Azkals lead.
The opponent then shed Azkals' another suppose-to-be score on the 45th minute when James Younghusband miss.
The Azkals got the lead back after Phil Younghusband scored again in the 52nd minute of the second half, but Ali Solaima Ashiri prevented a shutout win for the Azkals when he scored at the 57-minute mark.
The Azkals is currently spending their Middle East tour and will continue playing against the Australia Qantas on Thursday Under-23 team.
