Ramadan August 30, 2011 Declared as Non-Working Holiday

This post is an update to keep spread the news that August 30, 2011 is a non-working holiday as officially declared by Malacanang.
Philippine President Benigno Aquino III has issued Proclamation No. 234, which was signed last August 11 of this year officially declaring August 30, 2011 as a regular holiday throughout the country in observance of Eid’l Fitr or the Feast of Ramadhan for our Muslim brothers.
Malacanang, through executive secretary said that the proclamation was issued in line with the Republic Act Number 9177 or RA# 9177, which declares Eid'l Fitr as a regular holiday throughout the country.
"You are all going to have a long weekend on Aug. 30," Edwin Lacierda, the presidential spokesman said on a media briefing.
It will indeed a very long weekend for both students and employees.
