The Philippine Dragon Boat team had just bagged their third gold medals on the 200-meters mixed event boat competition on the ongoing International Dragon Boat Federation 10th World Championships in Tampa Bay, Florida, US.
The International Dragon Boat Federation 10th World Championships in Tampa Bay, Florida, started last August 3 and until August 7 of this year and is regarded as the most prestigious dragon boat competition in the world.
The first gold medal was got from the 1000-meters men event, second gold medal is from the 2000-meters mixed division while the third gold medal is from the 200-meters mixed event small boat division.
The Philippine dragon boat team's third gold medal out-powers teams from Italy, Trinidad and Tobago, and Japan.
Meanwhile, the Philippine dragon boat team fell behind Russia's team during the premier 200-meter men's division event, giving them their first silver medal.
The Philippine Dragon Boat team is also called as the "Dragon Warriors", because they are composed of individuals from the Philippine Army, Air Force, Navy and Coast Guard.
