JUNE 13, 2012 - 5PM UPDATE
At 8:00 a.m. today, June 13, 2012, the Shallow Low Pressure Area (SLPA) was estimated based on satellite image and surface data 210 kilometers East of Northern Mindanao (9.5°N 128.0°E),while the Southwest Monsoon continues to affect Luzon. These weather systems will bring scattered to widespread rains over Northern Mindanao and the western section of Northern and Central Luzon.

Southwest monsoon affecting Luzon. Meanwhile, a Tropical Storm (Int'l Name: GUCHOL) was estimated 1,390 kilometers east of Northern Mindanao (10.2°N, 139.5°E) with maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness up to 80 kilometers per hour. It is moving west northwest at 15 kilometers per hour.

At 4:00 p.m. today, Tropical Storm "BUTCHOY" was estimated based on satellite images and surface data at 780 kilometers east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar (10.7°N, 133.8°E) with maximum sustained winds of 95 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 120 kilometers per hour. It is forecast to move west northwest at 20 kilometers per hour. Southwest monsoon affecting Luzon.

At 4:00 a.m. today, Tropical Storm "BUTCHOY" was estimated based on satellite images and surface data at 620 kilometers east southeast of Guiuan, Eastern Samar (10.3°N, 132.0°E) with maximum sustained winds of 100 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 130 kilometers per hour. It is forecast to move west northwest at 15 kilometers per hour. Southwest monsoon affecting Luzon.

It is forecast to move west northwest at 11 kilometers per hour. Southwest monsoon affecting Luzon.

It is moving North Northwest at 20 kilometers per hour. Southwest monsoon affecting Luzon and Visayas.
