A partial lunar eclipse is schedule to occur today, June 4, 2012.

The Earth's umbral show, Earth's darkest shadow, will cover one-third of the moon today. The Earth's penumbra will also cover the whole moon and will significantly see to dim.

Experts said that the moon's portion that will be inside the umbral shadow will be seen as a reddish blue.

Today's lunar eclipse will be completely visible in Australia, rising over some part of Asia - particularly eastern, and setting over western North America

Here in the Philippines, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Service Administration (PAGASA) said that the eclipse magnitude will be 37.6%, thus making it partial.

The eclipse will be visible locally at 4:46 in the afternoon - Philippine time and will end on 9:19 in the evening.

Partial eclipse begins 6:59 PM
Greatest eclipse 7:03 PM
Partial eclipse ends 8:07 PM
Penumbral eclipse ends 9:19 PM
