MMFF is the annual film festival in the Philippines held from December 25 to the first week of January where no foreign films are shown in the country.
Last year's festival became highest earning MMFF with 767 Million Pesos, 21% higher than the previous year. Sisterakas was the top grossers and held the most profitable movies of all time before it was beaten by the love story film "It Takes A Man And A Woman".
