Classes Are Suspended By DepEd On October 12, 2011
As Ramon became an official tropical storm, Tropical Storm Ramon, students as well as the parents sought online information about suspesion of classes in their area.
Parents and students are seeking for the official announcement from DepEd about the suspension of classes on per-school, elementary, secondary and college levels.
However, if you cannot find the official announcement even on the government websites, below are the guidelines as officially released by the Department of Education (DepEd) about suspension of classes.
Suspension Of Classes On October 12, 2011 Guidelines is based on public storm warning signal as released by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
Signal Number One = Classes on pre-school level is suspended
Signal Number Two = Classes on pre-school, to both elementary and secondary level are suspended
Signal Number Three = All school levels' classes are suspended
Also, the local government and authorities had given rights to suspend classes at anytime for any logical reasons such as floods and damaged roads even though they are not hit with the PSWS ceiling.
