DepEd, CHeD - Officially suspended tomorrow's classes

This is the kind of news that they figuratively said - "kakaluto pa lang" as it was issued just earlier.

DepEd announced the suspension of classes for the elementary and secondary levels is still on effect until tomorrow. It can be recalled that DepEd issued the suspension of classes earlier for the afternoon classes on NCR area.

As of the guidelines, DepEd told the public that all classes are automatically suspended for all pre-school, elementary and secondary level if public storm signal number two was raised by PAGASA.

However, to make things clearer, DepEd told the public that all classes is suspended from the high-school level down.

Commission on Higher Education, CHeD, however told all colleges and universities that they can decide to themselves if they need to suspend classes due to floods and damaged roads even though signal number three was not raised on their areas.

According to CHEd Memorandum Order No. 34 series of 2010:
Classes at the collegiate level, including graduate school, are automatically suspended in higher education institutions (HEIs) once public storm warning signal number 3 is raised.

But as told, full discretion was given on each college schools to suspend their classes.
