Shamcey Supsup Should've Crowned As Miss Universe According To Oprah Winfrey

A new controversy has arouse online as the popular talk show host, Oprah Winfrey, was reported to have this message on the America's major broadcasting television network, NBC News Network.

According to the report from online posts, Oprah Winfrey had told NBC that she prefer Shamcey Supsup of Philippines to have won the title of Miss Universe 2011 if everything will be judge on the Q & A portion.

Here is the alleged message of Oprah Winfrey on the NBC news network.

"I have reservations with the results. If the only basis is the Q and A portion..., after having been trimmed down to 5, Ms. Philippines deserved to win. What made her different from the rest is that she had no seconds to rethink of her answer as she had no interpreter to break the ice. The rest had their interpreters and having breaks on seconds to think about their answers. Hands down, Ms. Philippines answered straight to the point,"

Though the real source of this message is still unverified after some sites have removed their posts about this after doubting the authenticity of the source.

Everything seems to be hersays as long as the source wasn't verified yet. Though this news may reach the real Oprah Winfrey and let's just hope that she can make any reaction regarding this. It is not that we (Filipinos) are hoping that this is how Oprah really feels, but I hope that she would end this issue.

Whatever it is, it is not that important as we see it. It's not that we are bias but we really feel that Philippines' representative to the Miss Universe 2011 pageant, Miss Shancey Supsup should have won, and we never felt this from our past candidates.

We will update this issue as soon as we heard any update on this.

What do you think about this issue? Was it really a big deal for Oprah to confirm this?

UPDATE: September 15, 2011
Now everything was clear, U.S. "Queen of Talk"'s camp had denied that Oprah had release any statement of that nature, referring to the alleged statement saying that Oprah wished that Philippine representative to the recent Miss Universe pageant should've won because of the way she answered.

Here is the official respond from the moderator of Oprah's website:
"There is no truth to the statement. Ms. Winfrey has not made any comments of this nature. Thank you for asking."
