ABS-CBN's Nasaan Ka Elisa?
Nasaan ka Elisa? is one of the ABS-CBN channel two's newest teleserye that was launched this month of September and is a part of their primetime bida.
Nasaan ka Elisa? is top topbilled by Melissa Ricks, while other members of the casts are Albert Martinez, Desiree del Valle, Agot Isidro, Vina Morales, Eric Fructuoso, Franco Daza, Christopher Roxas and Aldred Gatchalian.
Amid all controversies about Melissa Ricks' career after being tagged as being a late bloomer compared to her showbiz kasabayan like Erich Gonzales and others, Melissa Ricks told reporters that she is just very happy for her big break had came at last.
“Matagal ang hinintay ko. It was worth it naman. Ngayon, lahat ng pinaghirapan ko, it was for the soap talaga,” - Ricks told on an interview to ABS-CBN reporters.
The big break really came to Melissa after ABS-CBN entrusted her the lead role of Elisa Altamira on the soap.
Nasaan ka Elisa? is the Philippine adaptation of the Chilean crime drama "¿Dónde Está Elisa?" in which we are the fourteenth country that had remade the telenovela. The names of the characters were based on the US version rather than taking the original Chilean character names due to suitability issues (we pressume).
With the telenovela nature, Melissa Ricks had bade goodbye to her sweet-tweetums image as she took a more mature role for the teleserye.
“I’m ready na gulatin ang tao. I’m ready na ipakita ang acting skills na talagang pinaghirapin ko all these years. Lahat ibubuhos ko dito.” - Melissa said further.
Nassan ka Elisa? started last September 12, 2011 and currently snatching significant volume of viewers on the primetime slot.
Yahoo! Philippines search trend shows that Nasaan ka Elisa? is currently on the seventh spot on their top ten as of today, September 26, 2011.
