Fried Bubblegum Won The Most Creative New Food Award

At Texas State food fair, one of the contestants won the "Most Creative New Food" award for his 'Fried Bubblegum' entry. But before you imagine things, the entry doesn't include any bubblegum on it, rather his food entry, 'Fried Bubblegum' is actually just a bubblegum-flavored marshmallow all dipped in batter, fried it until golden brown then topped it with an icing.

Sure you need to chew it but not as long as the name depicts.

The food entry, fried bubblegum, was prepared by Justin Martinez and perfected after months of experimenting. “It took months to figure out how to get the flavor of bubblegum without actually having to fry a piece of bubblegum.” - Martinez said on an interview.

The four judges who voted for the Fried Bubblegum were: Kristi Scales, Joan Waine, Stephen Giles and D-Dallas State Rep Eric Johnson.

The name of the entry is really a little misleading, though the creator is very cunning that he made his entry controversial enough from the name alone. The name indeed is so controversial that it was talk on most sites, this included.

However, have you ever think on how would a real bubblegum would taste if it would be deep fried ?

According to experts, the fryer may still comeout fine when used in deep frying a bubblegum but would no recommend doing it. We are not sure how would it really taste, and there are theory that the actual gum would just melt when soaked on a hot oil.

Do not however imagine that the bubblegum will be safe to consume on the stomach when fried. Frying a bubblegum is not recommendable much more on eating it.

We can't find the official procedure on how to make the fried bubblegum, if you do, please care to comment in below.
