Bukidnon Rocks With Magnitude 5.2 Earthquake
Earthquake In Bukidnon, November 7, 2011
This is a breaking news: A strong but quick earthquake hit Bukidnon earlier this evening, Monday 11/07/2011.
“We just had a hell of an earthquake, strong but quick, don't know the intensity, Valencia have no power right now,” Bukidnon Governor Alex P. Calingasan said on the media interview.
Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported that the experienced earthquake was measured at Magnitude 5.2 and that the epicenter was pinpointed near Malaybalay.
Phivolcs said the earthquake was also felt at Intensity five in Valencia and Intensity three in Quezon, also in Bukidnon.
The government agency also said that the depth of focus of the tremor was 1 kilometer and that the origin is tectonic.
The local government is still studying if there are any major effect of the earthquake that just passed.
