Gloria Arroyo Travel Abroad Denied

Mrs. Arroyo Is Recuperating Well -DOH Secretary Said

The application for Allow Departure Order (ADO) has been officially denied by the Department of Justice (DOJ) earlier on Thursday (November 4, 2011) with the report of Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Enrique Ona as the major basis.

Secretary Ona said on his report to the DoJ that the former president is recuperating very well at the Linden Suites Hotel in Ortigas Center, Pasig City.

Other statement that favors Gloria Arroyo that the DOH secretary dispells is the recommendation from St. Lukes Medical Center's vice president for corporate affairs, Marilen Lagniton for a bone biopsy abroad to find the cause and treatment for her rare bone disorder because the procedure can only be done abroad.

Ona on the other hand said that the bone biopsy that the doctors of Mrs. Arroyo is very much available inside the country. That leave no excuse for the Pampanga second district's representative to flee the Philippines.

The DoJ further said that they need itinerary list prior to the approval of the request from the Arroyo's camp.
