Justice Secretary Leila De Lima said that the motion filed by the Arroyo's lawyers may perceived by the public as an "special treatment", De Lima had expressed her disagreement regarding to the Arroyo's camp request before the media.

The former Philippine president and now Pampanga's congresswoman, Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's camp had filed a motion that their client may placed under house arrest instead of the current hospital arrest on the admission that Arroyo's condition had gotten better.

Was this mean that they are abandoning their request for medical treatment abroad?

One clear thing though, they just want to go mansion home.

Chief Justice De Lima said that there other options for Arroyo rather than the House Arrest request. De Lima said that a hospital arrest is more suited to the former president, but on a government or public hospital this time. A detention of an "appropriate jail facility" was also cited by De Lima as other option for Arroyo.

The decision however as De Lima stressed rests on the hand of Pasay RTC Branch 112 Judhe Jesus Mupas.

"Kung yung house arrest kasi... mahirap din kasing may perception of special treatment dahil former president. Hindi ba pwedeng sa isang facility na nandyan naman yung mga amenities comfortable enough for her rather than house arrest?" - Justice Secretary, De Lima said on a media interview. "Otherwise, magiging kwestyunable yan sa mata ng publiko," - the justice secretary added.

Gloria Arroyo is under investigation on the political sabotage case filed against her.
