Philippine R&B Princess Kyla (Melanie H. Calumpad) and PBA player Rich Alvarez had tied the knot last November 28, 2011. Kyla and Rich's wedding held at Sanctuario de San Antonio church in Forbes Park, Makati that was attended by television networks' executives, famous celebrities and known personalities.
Philippine media described Kyla and Rich's wedding as fairy-tale inspired as Kyla when still young dreamed to look like a princess on her wedding day. True indeed, with the help of her gown designer, Kyla was wearing a fairy-tale like wedding gown, and the whole event had blush as their color motif.
The principal sponsors were celebrity doctor Dra. Vicky Belo, TV host and singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid, PLDT and TV5 Chairman Manny Pangilinan, GMA Network Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe Gozon, President and COO Gilberto Duavit, Jr., and Senior Vice President for Entertainment V Wilma Galvante were the principal sponsors.
The secondary sponsors include TV host and singer-actress Jolina Magdangal and her husband, band drummer Mark Escueta, ‘Party Pilipinas’ mainstay Rachelle Ann Go, and ‘The Kitchen Musical’ star Karylle.
The entourage was dressed with Kyla's 2006 hit song "Beautiful Days" in the background.
It can be recalled that Kyla, 30, and Alvarez, 31, reportedly start dating way back in 2005, the PBA player then proposed marriage last January of this year. The couple announced their engagement on February.
