Dreamweaver doesn’t have its built-in keyboard shortcut for inserting comments much more for a coldfusion comment. But you can set it manually, here’s the trick.

First, we need to assign a keyboard shortcut for our comment.

For CS3:

Go to Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts – a pop-up window will appear. On the “Menu commands” click the plus sign before “Insert”, then again the plus sign before “Coldfusion Objects”, highlight “Comment”, then put the cursor on the “Press key” textbox field and select a keyboard shortcut. A key-combination is usually used here, I selected “Control+Q”, though you can use your own, just don’t select the already predefined shortcut keys like “Control+S” for save.

After selecting your keyboard shortcut for inserting comment, click “OK”. After clicking “OK”, dreamweaver will prompt you saying that you need to create a copy to save your settings, just click “OK”.


You now have your keyboard shortcut for your coldfusion comment, enjoy!
