.xxx domains are now ready to register

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) passed a resolution approving the registry of .xxx as a special top-level domain (sTLD) for adult websites.

But as of now, you can reserve your desired domain names with .xxx extension. Just in case that you already owned a .com extension for that domain, you will have the sole right to register it on the .xxx extension, if you want to register it - that is.

Where can I register the .xxx domain extension, you may ask.

The thing is, you cannot register it on domain hosting like godaddy.com and the likes (as of now). But you can only make the reservation at icmregistry.com.

How much?

No price is set yet for this new domain extension.
But it should be a lot higher than the normal domain extension, considering how big the adult business is online. So you might want to consider your investment first before making any purchase, because keeping any .xxx domain could be costly.
