Aerosmith Cancels Indonesia Concert Due To Bomb Threat

The Bad Boys from Boston, the American hard rock band's promoter had cancelled its concert to Indonesia for next week over security concern. An alledged bomb threats at the Myanmar Embassy was reportedly the cause of the cancellation. The promoter's decision was announced one day after the bomb scare surfaced.


The nearly sold-out concert on May 11, 2013 at Indonesian capital, Jakarta, before 15,000 fans had to be postponed said Helmi Sugara, the event organizer's spokeman.

It can be recalled that the Indoesian authority had arrested two suspected outlaws with bombs. According to reports, the two were planning to attack the embassy in Jakarta. It is however unclear whether the cancellation was directly related to that incident or if there was some other threat.

"Unfortunately, we have to cancel our upcoming show in Jakarta. We want to apologize to all our fans who were expecting to see us and hope that one day we can make it up to them." - a message from the band was released on a facebook post.

As of this writing, no official date was announced should the concert will push through.
