Willie Revillame Faces Child Abuse Case

Willie Revillame is about to face a child abuse case according to confirmed reports.

It appears that the two years old case of a six years old boy who danced like a macho dancer while crying on the defunct show - Willing Willie had yet to die.

Reports said that the Department of Social Welfare and Development, and the Council for the Welfare of Children are the ones who's behind the child abuse case against the controversial host.

The said case which accuses Revillame of "exploiting the vulnerability of a minor" on Willing Willie's episode on March 12, 2011 has been set to be heard on Quezon City. The case was raffled off last Monday to QC Regional Trial Court Brach 86, under Judge Roberto Buenaventura.

The case had been validated last May 17 of this year by prosecutor Benjamin Samson saying that he found probable cause against the host on violatingn the Anti-Child Abuse Act. The prosecutor said that Revillame "should have been prudent" in dealing with a minor, "unwittingly exposed (the boy) to mockery and humiliation."
The complaint pointed out that the six years old contestant was made the controversial dance move five times throughout the May 12, 2011 segment.

What did Revillame's camp said about the issue?

The counter-affidavit of the host said that the old show - Willing Willie, was a wholesome and family-oriented television program. The host also said that he had no part in choosing the contestants.

Just like what he said last 2011, Revillame reiterated that the boy cried while dancing is because he was scared Bonel Baligit, which was one of the program's guest co-host at that time.

Willie insisted that Jan-Jan's performance which he referred to as "body wave" was not obscene, immoral or malicious. Revillame even said that the parents of the boy had agreed that there was nothing abusive about their son's performance on the referred show.

To recap, here's the actual video of that controversial scene.
