Bagyong Seniang January 1, 2015 Update

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration or PAGASA, Bagyong Seniang now an LPA (Low Pressure Area) as of 10:00 AM today, was located (estimated) based on all available satellite images and surface data at 340 kilomters south of Puerto Princesa City (6.8°N, 118.8°E). This weather system is expected to bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms over Southern Palawan. Moreover, the coastal waters along this area will be rough to very rough. fisher folks and other small seacrafts are advised not venture out into the seaboards of Palawan.

Meanwhile, the Tail-end of a Cold Front will bring moderate to occassionally heavy rains and thunderstorms over the Bicol Region which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.
The general public and disaster risk reduction and management councils concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and monitor for the updates of this weather disturbance to be incorporated in the Public Weather Forecast at 5:00 pm today and at 5:00 am tomorrow and for the next advisory to be issued at 11:00 am tomorrow.

This low pressure area formerly the Bagyong Seniang left the country with a confirmed death toll of 53 according to the official record of NDRRMC - National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.

The typhoon which has 65 kilometers per hour wind speed and gustiness up to 80 kilometers per hour had devastated the western Visayas in the midst of the holiday celebration.
