January 11, 2015 Philippine 6.0 Earthquake

A 6.0 magnitude earthquake jolted the Philippines according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

Philvolcs said that the epicenter of the earthquake was traced at 43 kilometers southwest of San Antonio, Zambales and was recorded at 3:31 in the morning.

The agency said that the tremors was felt accross many parts of Luzon - Pasig City, Pasay City, Manila City, Makati City and Quezon City in Metro Manila; Hagonoy and Obando in Bulacan province and San Mateo town in Rizal province had experienced an internsity 4 magnitude.

Tagaytay City and San Miguel, Tarlac had intensity 3 and Intensity 2 in Baguio City and Batangas City .

Phivolcs said Intensity IV is "felt generally by people indoors and by some people outdoors. Light sleepers are awakened. Vibration is felt like a passing of heavy truck. Hanging objectsswing considerably."
