WATCH: Pope Francis Hugged Cardinal Tagle

Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle was hugged by the Pope Francis as he arrived at the Villamor Airbase, Philippines.

After he was guided down from the plane by Papal Nuncio Giuseppe, he was welcomed by the Philippine President Benigno Aquino III with the vice president and some cabinet members. He was also greeted by the two orphans children whom had gave flowers to for him.
He was then greeted by the officials of Catholic faith whom stood in line. The Catholic's supreme pontiff then shook hands with the Philippine Catholic leaders, but when it was Cardinal Tagle's turn, Pope Francis gave him a warm hug instead of the usual shaking of hands which the Pope did from the previous church heads.

The Catholic's supreme leader arrived at the Villamor Airbase via a Sri Lankan airline at 5:32 p.m. - January 15, 2015 - Thursday. He then went off on a motorcade from the airport to Apostolic Nunciature on Taft Avenue.

The highest Catholic official will be on the Philippine for a five days pastoral visit, from January 15-19, 2015.

Meanwhile, Filipino netizens calls him Lolo Kiko, a local version of the name Francis. Hashtags #PapalVisitPH, #PopeInPH and "Cardinal Tagle" also trended on Philippine twitter on the day the Pope arrived in the country.
